The LinkedIn Voice Note Funnel That Generated $1,047,200
And how to implement it in less than 10 minutes
Hey team 👊
When most people think “LinkedIn outreach,” they picture walls of text.
Generic intros. Over-explaining. Over-selling.
Here’s the truth:
❌ Nobody reads 200-word cold DMs.
❌ They trip filters.
❌ They scream “copy-paste.”
Meanwhile, voice notes are quietly becoming the highest-converting format in LinkedIn’s inbox.
I first paid attention when Terry Rhoden showed me he added $29,400/month to his pipeline using nothing but 20–30s voice notes.
So I went all in.
Refined the system.
And turned it into what we now call the LinkedIn Voice Note Funnel.
It’s generated over $1,047,200 in pipeline — and today, I’m going to break down exactly how it works.

Why Voice Notes Work (And Text Doesn’t)
Pattern interrupt → Most inboxes are wall-to-wall text. A short audio clip instantly stands out.
Human tone → You can’t fake tone of voice. Prospects hear confidence, clarity, and intent.
Low effort → 20 seconds is easy to record and even easier to consume. Faster than reading.
Algorithm-friendly → LinkedIn prioritises variety in DM formats (reduces risk of being flagged).
The System — The LinkedIn Voice Note Funnel
Here’s how we run it:
1. Timing is everything
When to send a VN →
👉 After someone views your profile
👉 Right after a first DM (to avoid “cold” shock)
👉 Following a post comment / engagement
We tested hundreds of sequences. Sending the VN on touch 2–3 lifts replies by 35% vs text-only.
2. Scripts that actually convert
We write VNs by persona.
Founders/CEOs → Lead with social proof (metric) → mechanism → soft CTA.
Heads of Marketing → Highlight case study win in their industry → share insight → invite to quick chat.
E-com/CRM leads → Call out specific pain (ad spend, retention, churn) → drop a stat → micro-ask.
Length = 20–30 seconds. Never longer.
3. The Proof-First Hook
Formula: Metric → Mechanism → Tiny Ask
Example:
“Hey [Name], we just helped [similar company] add $52,800 in 16 days using LinkedIn voice notes. I noticed you’re running [X strategy] and thought I’d share the playbook. Want me to send it over?”
4. The 9-Minute Bridge
Instead of asking for 30 minutes, we cap calls at 9 minutes with two slots to choose from.
This tiny shift has:
– Lifted show rates to ~78%
– Made it harder for prospects to say no
– Turned quick intros into full sales calls naturally
5. Reviving “Dead” Threads
We don’t let threads die. On days 2, 5, and 9 we add light follow-ups:
👉 D2: “Hey, didn’t want this to get lost in your inbox”
👉 D5: Proof drop + “happy to share”
👉 D9: Objection handler (budget / agency / not now)
70% of meetings come after these revivals.
Real Results From the Funnel
27–33% DM → booked call conversion rate
$52,800 closed in just 16 days from one campaign
50+ calls/month consistently from a single profile
$1,047,200+ generated across campaigns to date
And this is without spamming.
No cold blasts.
No unsafe automation.
Just a smart, human-first system built around the most under-used LinkedIn feature.
Takeaway
The LinkedIn inbox isn’t dead.
It’s just crowded.
If you sound like everyone else, you’ll get ignored.
If you send like everyone else, you’ll get restricted.
But if you add a human voice to your outreach?
You’ll book more meetings with fewer messages.
We’ve put everything into the Voice Note Playbook — including timing windows, persona scripts, the 9-minute bridge, and every revival bump we use.
